Steve’s Market
Website Redesign & Brand Refinement
Steve’s Market is a beloved, award-winning butcher, gourmet grocery, and catering shop in Ramsey, New Jersey. A community staple for decades, the market is known for quality meats, fresh produce, specialty groceries, prepared foods, and exceptional personalized service.
The project began as a complete overhaul and rebuild of their existing website on WordPress. I updated the color palette and typography for a cleaner, more modern visual voice while preserving their iconic logo, ensuring continuity with the brand customers already knew and loved. The redesign was guided by the goal of reflecting the store’s high-quality service and products online, helping the digital presence mirror the premium physical experience.
User Experience & Conversion-Focused Features
The redesigned site was structured to clearly communicate Steve’s Market’s full range of offerings—from grocery departments and specialty products to catering services—while making it easier for customers to take action.
Custom online order forms were introduced for grocery, catering, and seasonal holiday menus, significantly improving usability and reducing friction. With clearer navigation and stronger calls to action, the site supports the market’s goal of expanding its catering business. Since launching in January 2025, website traffic has increased substantially, catering orders have more than doubled, and holiday ordering has been highly successful, generating over 50 orders within just a few weeks.
CMS Integration, Email Marketing & Business Impact
The new website was built on WordPress with a CMS structure designed to support frequent updates, seasonal menus, and staff-managed content. To further support marketing efforts, I integrated Flodesk email capture, allowing Steve’s Market to grow their email list and communicate promotions, events, and holiday offerings more effectively.
This email marketing workflow did not exist on the previous website, making it a significant step forward in their digital strategy. Combined with the new ordering forms, the CMS and integrations have streamlined internal processes, improved customer engagement, and created a more scalable platform for long-term growth.
